"We have some vacant lots where it probably is a good idea to build some duplexes or apartments on the land that we have, so that we can assist with some housing issues and help with families who need places to stay," said Carter. But if apartments became an allowed use again, Carter said he’d be interested potentially using the buildings as housing again, or in developing apartments on nearby vacant lots owned by the church. The church currently uses the buildings for educational programs. The church stopped using the buildings as apartments years ago, according to Pastor Schezarone Carter.
